Mat Level 1

This course provides fitness professionals with the essential skills they’ll need as Pilates instructors. In addition to gaining an understanding of proper form and technique, students will learn to apply neutral spinal alignment to all body positions and develop a thorough understanding of Pilates breathing techniques. Participants will also learn modifications that make postures accessible to audiences with varying levels of fitness and flexibility. A continuing education certificate will be awarded immediately after completion of the live workshop. To receive the final certification, students must complete 100 hours of practical teaching or observation hours and pass the final Assessment.

Mat Level 2

This two-day course will provide you with the fundamentals you need to teach reformer-based exercises in personal training and group environments—making it a must for anyone looking to increase their marketability. Proper alignment, exercise modification and cueing techniques specific to the reformer are discussed in detail. Participants will also receive an overview of anatomy and biomechanics. This course explores advanced Pilates reformer exercises and reviews proper modifications for the general population. In addition, participants will learn how to use the reformer for traditional resistance training exercises. Gait analysis and techniques for improving gait and related imbalances are also discussed.
